The Simmons family connection to the Moon family line is established through the marriage of Harriet L. Moon b. 1848 to Leonard F. Simmons b. 1827, Leonard is the son of William Simmons and Betsey Ives and through the marriage of Chancey Moon b. 1856 to Anna E. Simmons b. 1848, Anna is the daughter of Lyman Simmons and Anna Elizabeth Kelley. We have Moon family information dating back to 1814 through Nathan M. Moon.

We want to point out and emphasize that while we are a Moon Family genealogy; we are interested in preserving the history of all Moon and related families including the women whose lines are carried forward under their married names. If your great-grandmother was a Moon, we would like to have your family history whatever the surname. If you are a member of the Moon or related families, you may register for a user account, after which you will be able to log in and access additional material not available to the public. At the discretion of the Administrator, you may be granted permission to add or edit your family data directly. Make sure you explain in your registration request exactly how you are related and if you will be contributing information or media to the website. Your family history can be submitted directly using our upload pages (available to registered users), by emailing it to the website administrator, by using the web site's Contact form, or even by snail mail, Pony Express or carrier pigeon.
