 | 1820 US Census (William Simmons) The 1820 US Census shows the heads of household and number of persons living with that head of household. This census shows William Simmons with a female under the age of 26 (presumably his wife Betsey) and two sons under the age of 10 who are probably William W. and George L. Asa W. died before the 1820 census. Also, this census indicates that William is engaged in farming. It is of interest that there is a Peter Simmons of age between 26-45 living nearby who could be a brother of William Simmons. With current research there are strong indications that they could be brothers, more research is needed to confirm this suspicion. |

This census shows William Simmons (aged 20-30) living with a female aged 20-30 who is assumed to be his wife Betsey. It is interesting to point out that the enumerator marked in the wrong column for the age range of William and Betsey as they should be in the 30-40 age column. There are two males under the age of 5 indicated who would be Amos and Leonard F, there are two males between the age of 6-10 who would be Lyman and Edward, there is one male under the age of 15 who would be William W., and there is one female under the age of 5 who would be Huldah Ann. |

In the absents of any notes to indicated otherwise this assumption is exercised here. |

 | 1851 Census of England (Oliver Beckett) Although I have a high confidence level that the information here is the correct Oliver Beckett, I do not have 100% confidence.
Data: Location of census is: 17 Hornby Street, Liverpool, England.
Oliver Beckett (68), a Former Agent and widowed, is living with his daughter Eliza (44) and her husband Thomas Wright (47). Also, at this address is Oliver's son Oliver Beckett (15) whose occupation is Smith's Apprentice.
Confidence level less that 100% because this is the first time Oliver's daughter Eliza appears in any documentation and that Oliver's age is stated as 68 rather than 65 as expected. However, the location of the census, that his son Oliver is present at the expected age and that Oliver is a widower helps indicate that this is the correct Oliver Beckett.
