How Mom met Dad

This note was found between two pages of this album. The note reads:
"Mr Wm Beckett.
May 31 Truck work 8 hours
June 2 Truck work 3 hours
two men work"
"Mr Wm Beckett work 4 hours on 5th Dec 1934"
The two men work must be referring to Oscar Simmons and his son Willard.
So, is this how Dad (Willard Simmons) met Mom (Edna Beckett, daughter of Wm Beckett)?
